Description:  Total luck shot here - was driving to the Dells taking the scenic route when I happened upon the local with a solid train heading towards Madison outside of Lodi. I banged a quick U-turn and headed back into town to catch them at the bridge. Sadly, I was on a schedule (ish) so I did not have the luxury of chasing.

Title:  An unsual late afternoon-arriving T005's three motors take headroom on the north end of the yard
Description:  This was WSOR 4011, one of two ex-UP units acquired late in 2007. Crossing replacement at Blair/Wilson/Williamson/John Nolen (all one five-way cluster**** of a crossing) on the Isthmus resulted in this unusual late-afternoon appearance of the manifest up from Janesville.

L867 winds through
Title:  L867 winds through
Description:  I heard these guys on the scanner while I was waiting on the 1st-813 at Wisconsin Dells, saying they were going to head from Baraboo to Reedsburg. They made better time than I was expecting, and after coming down US-12 and then west on 136 I had to come all the way here to get ahead of them.

Take it to the end of the line
Title:  Take it to the end of the line
Description:  L867 is shoving their three lumber loads over the Park Street crossing, the red board just before the next crossing west can be seen. The track continues for about a half-mile beyond that, but that portion hasn't been used in over ten years and is rumored to be being torn out later this year. West of there, C&NW abandoned the line as far as Camp Douglas in 1987. They're shoving to clear the switch to the run-around track in the foreground, they'll use that track to access the set-out track where the loads will be spotted for Hartje.
