Title:  Big Boys in Green River
Description:  UP 4002 waits for its turn at the coaling tower in Green River. The object behind the tender appears to be the tender of another UP steam engine. 4002 will work for another 17 years, and will be scrapped in 1962. Behind 4002 is another Big Boy, 4001. Description:  The engineer of Union Pacific 4002 leans out of his engine at Cheyenne. 4002 was built by ALCO in late August of 1941, and was scrapped in February 1962. 4002 was laid aside for tire replacement in November 1958, although it would never operate again after 1958. Description:  UP 4003, 4002, 4008, and 4019 congregate at the coal tower in Rawlins. After 1957, Rawlins was not used as a regular terminal for steam power.
