Greg,should have commented on this one before. Notice how close those boulders rolled down. This illustrates the need for the rock slide detector fence from here on up. To refresh our memory, if all else ok but can't clear the home signal into the plant, slide fence probably tripped between there and tower. Faster to run up and plug back in than wait for maintainer. If sinal clears but train is restricted speed on reds,then trouble could be fence or something else anywhere up the hill. Call maintainer. This is not without presidence. They are sticklers about this area. In 1947 after unusually heavy rains and between track patrols,Milw #4 the Pioneer Ltd just made it over the girder bridge at MP 396.3. The track patrol that followed him down from Chemolite(Glendenning area then),found several hundred feet on track in midair. NO bondwires or continuity broken,Green semaphores! Can you imagine if No 4 hit that. All those sleeping passengers at midnight. This was before our time but an exc

#9 is actually still around, albeit as a portable load test unit, for Peaker Services. Still very restorable.
