| It had been a long time since I had shot anything on the Wisconsin Southern, while my Dad had never shot anything on the Wisconsin Southern, so we were both excited to start our day along the railroad headquarters in Janesville. CP and UP were both supposed to run their transfer jobs to the WSOR that day as well, so we were expecting to get some pretty decent morning action. However, when we arrived, everything was quiet, but plenty of engines sitting around the shops. Just like G&W has been doing with the GEs, WAMX purchased a number of larger six axle locomotives, these being older SD60 variants from the UP. Some of them have been repainted, as can be seen with the triclops SD60M to the right, but some have not been, as can be seen by the units in the yard. |
