With a blast from the horn and wave from the engineer, the northbound Coast Starlight flies through Tukwila as the last rays of sunset reflect on the trees. Hot on the heels of the last freight train, the train is running around an hour late, but making good time on the final 20 minutes of its 35 hour journey. Todays consist is made up of P42DCs 154 and 189, followed by a typical consist of a Viewliner baggage car, followed by 8 Superliner passenger cars. In the distance is the headlight of a BNSF local, waiting for the Starlight to clear. |
