This placard contained the shipping information for Lamco Railroad SD10 316 as it, and the 315, sat in the Illinois Central Gulf’s STUYVESANT DOCKS YARD, located along the Mississippi River in New Orleans. The locomotives were on their way from the ICG's shop in Paducah, Kentucky to the Liberian-American-Swedish Mining Co. in Liberia; and would be loaded on a ship here in New Orleans. The 316 was frame number 5278-1, built as Union Pacific 782 in June 1953 and renumbered 457 in December 1962. |
