PRR Passenger Station, 1961
Stations. Here is an origial photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad property in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during April of 1961. Shown here is what is left of the PRR's Train Shed as workers go about demolishing it. The Train Shed was built shortly after the Civil War, and once shielded both train passengers and Logan House guests from the elements. The supporting posts are made of cast iron, while the arches are made of wood.
