PRR Passenger Station, 1960
Stations. Here is an original photo that I took of Pennsylvania Railroad property in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, during July of 1960. Shown here is the PRR's Passenger Station. The very same structure is visible in a photo taken around 1873 ~ along with passengers and a passenger train, tall trees and HOLLY Tower. Before it was demolished, the Passenger Station was located at the intersection of Allegheny, Bedford, Blair, Broad, Newry, and Wall Streets. Note the locked cabinet a little lower down. Inside was a telephone with a crank-style ringer!
