Milwaukee Way into Oshkosh
One may wonder what the back of this building has to do with the Milwaukee Road. The photo is taken from the vicinity of the Milwaukee's yard and facilities in Oshkosh looking back toward Ripon. The area where the camera is located once housed a busy freight terminal and a connection with the Soo Line (original Wisconsin Central) where they shared a swing bridge (removed 1990's) across the Fox River. All that remains to tell of the Milwaukee Road right of way into town are these power lines that followed it into town. The track that remains in service from Ripon terminates on the west side of I 41.
