| NS's Penn Central heritage unit leads a through freight, CN with leased power I presume, southward via former C&NW rails parallel to S. Main St./Hwy. 45 and the west shore of Lake Winnebago at Oshkosh, WI on 25 Oct. '14. Historically this area was known as South Oshkosh, but that designation has all but faded from use. I wish I could have captured a better shot of this unique locomotive during its rare visit to this area, but I barely got out of my truck in time to snap this less-than-ideal shot after chasing the train from Medina Junction. |
