CSX 8852, engineer's side  Contributor's Pick!
CSX SD40-2 8852 waits with other engines near the shops at Huntington, WV. This is probably a former C&O/B&O unit, based on the slotted battery box cover. The middle wheelsets are missing, A panel is open under the cab--one of the first times I've seen this. Anybody know what all of those parts represent?

B B General This is an ex Conrail unit. My first hint was the markin in front of the cab where the cab signal box used to be. I'm assuming the mail slot battery box cover was a replacment addition at some point. 1/9/2013 11:44:27 PM
