Illinois Central Gulf SD40 #6071, the original SD40 and the very first unit to put the EMD 645 engine on the road,          
ICG SD40 #6071 was built July 1964 as EMDX #434 and later became Gulf, Mobile & Ohio #950. Unit was later re# Illinois Central #6071. Retired from IC roster March 11, 2009 and donated to the Monticello Railway Museum where it is preserved
